I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at University College Dublin. Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Bocconi Institute for Data Science and Analytics (BIDSA), where I worked with Giacomo Zanella. I obtained my PhD in Statistical Sciences at the University of Padova, where I was advised by Bruno Scarpa, Daniele Durante and Botond Szabo.

Main research interests

• Bayesian computation, in particular Markov chain Monte Carlo, deterministic posterior approximations, and the interplay between them.
• Bayesian asymptotics, with a focus on higher order theory.
• Bias reduction methods for small sample parametric inference.
• Biostatistical methodology.
